Library of the Faculty of Medicine
The reading hall of the Library of the Faculty of Medicine was established in January 2015 on the basis of the TSU Central Library. The Book fund of the Faculty contains up to 4000 latest Georgian and foreign educational and scientific medical literature, periodical publications and dissertations.
There are 36 workplaces in the reading hall of our faculty, equipped with modern computers and other necessary equipment. A book protection system is installed in the library and all books are chipped.
Medical students can use the “EVER GREEN” electronic catalog, magazines, free and paid databases, and the eBooks e-library resource, which contains electronic versions of the most requested publications and documents of the TSU Library Foundation: books, dissertations, illustrations, periodical publications, audio materials.
Additionally, students (including doctoral students) of the Faculty of Medicine, who are engaged in scientific research, have access to the library of the Alexander Natishvili Institute of Morphology, which presents 8,812 unique scientific-research medical literature and periodical publications in Georgian, Russian German and English languages.
Since its establishment, the library has been headed by Ketevan Nakashidze, a chief specialist with 45 years of experience.
